This donation allowed the department to upgrade four existing confined space escape air packs to the National Fire Protection Agency 2018 Edition.
For more than 30 years, we have supported the mission of STARS. STARS is first-on-scene in many remote and rural communities to provide critical response. Gibson employees also contribute volunteer time for STARS, most recently donating cookies and writing thank you cards.
The Moose Jaw River Watershed Stewards, with the support of Alberta Oil AND Gas, started their third Annual Purple Loosestrife pull in the hopes of eliminating the invasive species.
After identifying some land that wasn't being used at Gibson's Plato Facilities, the team took to work growing produce for the local food bank. After cultivating and working on the garden for months, the team was proud to donate an abundance of fresh produce to the Rosetown Food Bank.
Gibson's Hardisty team volunteered their time tree planting. The team planted Swedish Aspen, Prairie Aspen, Gladiator Flowering Crab, Schubert Chokecherry, Thunderchild Flowering Crab, Muckle Plum, Showy Mountain Ash, Spring Snow Flowering Crab and Japanese Lilac Tree.
Gibson’s first Orange Shirt Day took place in 2021 and garnered overwhelming support. One of our employees ran for 24 hours to raise more than $20,000 for the Arctic Indigenous Wellness Foundation.
The Moonshot Award recognizes the company that developed a creative, bold and impactful corporate purpose program and continually optimized the program to drive greater participation and impact.
We raised close to $50,000 for men's health, thanks to 60 Gibson Mo Brothers and Mo Sisters who rallied together for a great cause.
